Schoolzilla’s 2014 in Review

Schoolzilla’s mission is to change students’ lives by empowering people to use data to run great schools. In 2014, many people helped us expand our impact in pursuit of that mission. Since most of you like data as much as we do, here are a few stats to help illustrate that reach.

To better serve the growing Schoolzilla community, our team:

  • Grew from 17 to 59 employees (that’s an increase of 247%!) to invest in more products and services for current and future partners.

  • Now lives in 16 states, helping us stay grounded in education trends across the country.

Schoolzilla Community

  • An expanded Behavior Report Suite that equips schools to make adjustments in policy and practice based on valuable, timely insights into behavior trends.

  • Updates to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, including a plain-English translation for every section of “legalese” and a clear description of the ways that Schoolzilla helps protect partner schools and their data.

  • Single sign-on functionality that makes it seamless for teachers and administrators to access visual, actionable data to inform good decisions.

  • Page, a web-based data capture tool developed in partnership with Achievement First to more efficiently and accurately capture, aggregate, and track data from reading assessments like DRA, Fountas & Pinnell, and STEP.
